convert aiff to mp3 or WAV

I have a bunch of old MAC files I need to convert to mp3 or .WAV to use
with friends. Can anyone help.

open it in iTunes (Mac or PC), right-click and select "convert to MP3".
It will use whatever settings you have set in advanced settings.

Google returned 4,700,000 hits for: aiff to wav
but only 4,490,000 hits for: aiff to MP3

Just about anything can read .aiff format... it's really just a .wav file
with a different header. What kind of computer do you have available with
what software?

The point was that there is no dearth of ways to do the
conversion. What is the REAL question here? Can't
really give much more of a response in such a vacuum.

Yeah I know but I think it's obvious that the OP wants a simple solution
that someone has alreay used - tried & tested. As you say, 4.5Million hits
for each way - how on earth do you sort the wheat from the chaff with that
many options - go to r.a.p and ask the experienced users.
