Does anyone in here have a connection to a Tar Heel Picker name of David
Cody?
And if so could you please tell him to contact me.
As a means of refference for him, as to who I might be and a possible reason
for replying, tell him ,
I got to know him from a buddy named Tim (Cordell) down in Polk County and
maybe he should stop by the Green Creek Grill for a bite.
TIA

Ok nobody responded. Does this mean that most of this NG is populated by the
folks out in the west coast and fairly exclusive to that region?
Are there not that many Nashville types who come to this NG ?
I'm trying to reach Mr. Cody for some royalty rights stuff.
And as for the one personal email that came to me, NO I do not run a grill
and I do not live in North Carolina anymore.
Tim used to work for David when he headlined his own bar. He's also the guy
that David keeps asking to drive the bus for him.
If anyone has contact with David Cody you'd be doing him a solid by letting
him know that I'm interested in "Chunk of coal" and "Redneck Saturday
Night".
Heck even "An eagle can only fly so high" is a keeper. ;-)

Thanks much.
Didn't even think to look there.

Yes, but for the most part, it's filled with technical folks.

David Cody's label is Japres Records, and their e-mail is .
They should be able to put you in touch with whoever handles rights for him
if you want to negotiate for mechanicals.

Contact the label. Or just pay statutory on the stuff and be done with it.

Yes I'm familiar with the Mechanical license rights thing at HFA. They sold
me a limited rights for nine cover songs awhile back. I'd go that route too
if I didnt want some other stuff.
I've lost Tim's phone number and I'd like to get some chordpro sheets on a
couple of his tunes.
I remembered JaPres Records but I didn't remember a email link on that site.
Turns out one does infact exist.
Thanks for the info and taking the time to respond.
I was starting to get a lil worried that the east coast west coast thing
that got started in the cRAP genre had carried over. ;-)
On a side note....... Man, Dick Clark looked pretty good, all things
considered, last night on my TV.
