Hi guys,

I use an old laptop with only USB possibilities and a simple soundcard.
I want to use it as an MP3 player for my PA but there is no player for
MP3 only WAV. Becasue wav is big, I was looking for some software for
MP3. I allready used some but it didnot work because the software
complaints about missing DLL or not the correct versions.
I cannot install windows98 again because it was preinstalled and there
is no onter option here for export or something like that. I also
cannot put this to internet for upgrade.

Do you know of a small programm for an early 98 release which works for
MP3?

Regards
Erik

Older releases of Winamp predate Win98 and worked well with early releases
of it.

Your bigger problem may be that USB support prior to Win98SE was pretty
grim. Even Win98SE's support for USB is primitive.

Hi guys,

Thanks for helping. I googled "MP3 karaoke player" which is suitable
for the job.
It runs stable and without loss of functionality. It plays Mp3 and
thats was sufficient.

The PC can handle the workload barely (old stuff) but it works.

Thanks
Erik
