Can you find a link to a picture of Bush wearing that flightsuit?

Here's a link you might find interesting:

Sorry. My eyes must be failing me. Gee, was that a Mission Accomplished
banner? Uh oh...

Nah, just another example of a weasel hypocrite and liar.

I hear the reviews on his overdue book are that it reads like fiction.

Failure to notice the hypocrisy noted.

The trick is to find one of the originals after all the democratic children
scrawled their grafitti on it.

Of course you know that a US president in a flight suit is only a
constitutional issue if he's a Republican.

All those pictures of Neil Armstrong in a flight suit don't count for
essentially the same reason, even though he was a senator.

Correction: John Glenn, not Armstrong was the 1984 democratic candidate for
nomination to the office of president, and Senator from Ohio 1975-1999. Of
course he was frequently pictured wearing a flight suit while in office.

I did so at the time this subject was being discussed, Mr, McKelvy.

It appears to show President Clinton visiting a Navy base wearing a
windbreaker with regular brown trousers. What's your point? That if I
half-close one eye and look at the photo from across the room it might
appear as if Clinton was wearing a "uniform"?

On closer inspection, the "windbreaker" appears to be of the indentical cut
and fabric as the "windbreaker" worn by the uniformed officer to his left.
The brown trousers appear to be very similar cut and fabric, but a slightly
browner color. Both men appear to have some kind of insignia indicating
their rank on the left side of their "windbreaker" jackets.

>What's your point?

Looks to me to two guys wearing their respective uniforms, walking next to
each other.

Atkinson, try looking at it with some photo editing software, if the use of
such *advanced* technology isn't beyond you.

It's not a "windbreaker", it's a flight or "bomber" jacket, and it's
certainly military issue - along with the requisite velcro rank badge
on the left breast. It's definitely a piece of military apparel that
most presidents wear from time to time. They wear it as their status
as Commander in Chief. However, they don't wear it as part of a
"uniform". They don't wear the rest of the uniform, but they *do* wear
it as a symbol of their status as Commander in Chief.

I don't think Neil Armstrong was ever a senator. Maybe you meant John Glenn he
was an astronaut too.

Yup, that's what the correction I posted 11 minutes after the OP said. That

Jokes's on you, Middiot. I posted a correction more than 5 hours ago, and
s888wheel posted his correction over 2 hours ago. Think of this situation as
nature's way of telling you that you are out of it.

I'd say I caught him in a mistake. A mistake that he quickly corrected. I
wasn't trying to catch him at anything though. People make mistakes.

like a mistake to me. I don;t think Arny was trying to smear Neil Armstrong.

Which is pretty much what I believe you'll find Bush wearing in the other

My failure? Yes, I do notice the hypocrisy.

Your failure? Is that an admission of imperfection? My eyes really must be

Ummm, that might have something to do with the fact that he wore the flight
suit BEFORE he was a senator.

Correction: It was becuase Glenn was an astronaut (hence the flight suit), a
decade before he was Senator.

No one ever criticized Bush 41 for wearing a flight suit. Obviously not,
because the chap's a war hero with an astonishing combat flight mission
record.

Not at all. I'm sure he did (though not too many people can remember him in

The hypocrisy is in that no one complained about Clinton wearing what he
wore in that picture. Nobody complained when he sent troops all over the
world on various failures.

What a shock, no link from Mr. Atkinson and no comment on the fact that the
whole thing was nothing more than another feeble attempt from the left to
make Bush look bad.
