By using a ripper program, putting the file(s) on hard drive, and then going
to CD.

Total Recorder will grab the audio from a DVD. You can capture it while
playing the disc normally, or do it in software mode, which just grabs it at
the maximum speed in silent mode. You can specify whether it records to a
WAV or MP3 file. It's about a $10.00 download, but a VERY handy program, and
will do timed recording, line-in recording, etc.

Thanks. I tried my CDEX, but couldn't get it to work on the DVD. Probably
operator problem at this end.

Then, I tried something different, and was successful. I also have one of
those programs that record from your pc sound card. So, I just played the
movie, and then recorded the sound track section I wanted.
