Sony DVD Players and MP3 Disks

Hi!

I have a newer Sony DVD player (don't have model # with me but bought in
January)...it plays MP3's discs but I can get it to shuffle the tracks on
it. The instruction book says it can happen but if I choose 1 Disc playback
and then shuffle, it doesn't go to "on."

Suggestions?

Really need the model number. The O/M could have an error.
