Navigation system with dvd or harddrive

hi im thinking about buying the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 which is the harddrive
option for the poineers. anyone has experience wether or not is is
better to have harddrive or dvd version ?

i looked at the dvd one and it was slow in my opinion.

I have the AVIC-N1, which is DVD only; what do you mean by 'slow'?
