I'm wondering if the wire harnesss' are the same for different cars
or from nissan to vw?

Yes, most cars have different wiring harnesses. Check out Metra:
http://www.metraonline.com/ and Scoche: http://www.scosche.com/

They each carry a ton of harnesses and install kits to install
aftermarket head units and other devices.
