My system is the best becuz it has the cleanest sound coming from the
speakerz! Much better than you all fools becuz I don't use many watts
from my alternator that would stress it! And if you dont use the same
brands I do, your just wasting you're time with junk that you pade too
much for and it still isn't as good! HaHaHaHaHa
my amps send the best and cleanest pressure to my speakerz. they have
the lowest thd (total horse dumpy) of any amps made!

if only you foolz were as smart as me you would know all this. you
would also now that 5 volts from my cd player makes everything so much
cleaner than the 2 or 3 volts you losers use! I have been into audio
for 20 years and still don't know as much as your 13 year old brother.
speaking of family, do any of you have hot cousins? Their my favorite
becuz they're family so you can see them all the time. and this one
time she got really drunk and passed out....well, I don't like to talk
about that because im a gentelmen! lol

anywayz back to car stuff. yea my speakerz are the best too. Exept
the one in my right door, it doesn't work. I think the magnet was too
powerful and put too much force on the rest of the speaker, blowing it
up. so next time i'm going to buy one with a stronger frame and cone,
like these ones I saw in a bin at walmart. It says they have a plastic
cone and that's really strong. that also helps stop distorshon from
going thru.

and to play these the best you have to have the best music. Van Hagar
(not Van Halen, they suck), Spice Girls, N'sync, and fo course Billy
Idol! One time I went to his concert but had to listen from the
parking lot, anyways it was awesome! I krept around to the back to see
his bus and try to get in to one of the storage bins so I could ride
with him, but a security guy saw me n beat me up. I could have won
even though he was big and strong and I'm sorta small and skinny, but
when i tryed dodging his first punch I slipped and it hit me in the
face. I guess I was out for a couple of hours and when i woke up the
bus was gone and they put me in one of those little green huts that
they put at concerts and construckshon sites.

newayz i just wanted to let all you foolz know that I am the queen and
you shouldnt forget that! time to go eat the jello and sandwich my mom
made!

there should be very little if any difference in 3 to 5 volts, and if
your system is set up properly there should be none.
I have no use for any more than the 5 bands on my EQ, but some people
might.
sherwood is not in the top 3 amp makers. or even in the top 7. boss
amps neither.
I don't have much experience with pioneer subs so I couldn't tell you
anything about their performance. But I know of a couple other subs
under 109 that are definitely hard to beat in the price range.
Top model RF amps are great, new lower line stuff I don't care for.
Their older stuff, before the turn of the century, was very impressive.
Orion amps aren't quite as good as they used to be either, since they
were bought out a couple years ago. But their older model HCCA or G4
amps were some of the best amps made, ever. Kicker I don't care for
much, but their amps are solid, and the ZR series is downright
incredible.
no I don't have any tv screens in my car. and if I have an extra 4-500
i'd save up longer and get a big screen or some high-def tv for my
house.

they were just ok.
speakers i go JVC or Lanzar. but
pioneer subs are great every other pioneer speaker just ok....
i like cerwin vega/kicker speakers too.

Sherwood had a line of amps called the xat models...over 12 yrs ago.dont
know when they stopped making them.
But they were 1ohm stable at a time few were..they were very
costly...thats why i figured they went out.too expensive.
The ''xat'' line were gold. 105s/n,.02thd,4way protection.they wiegh
20lbs+.the better models had 2inside fans like mine.the casing thick
steel.....no 1/16 tin like most likely yours built from.LOL
i bet 5-6 yrs ago there were afew going used...i guess i missed those.
I tell you it hurts.
i bet Sherwood went kinda cheap used too.
bought mine at crutchfield when it first came out.
was going to buy a alphasonik but it wasnt 1ohm stable but alil cheaper.

Being one ohm stable makes it something special? 20 pounds, wow, that's
quality! Heatsink made of cast steel instead of aluminum, I guess they
figured it was more important to protect the amp from the idiots
installing them than the heat it produced, at 1 ohm no less... Care to
share the four things that the Sherwood amp protected against?

BTW, no need in missing them amps, there still in your closet.

Kraco was the poopstank in the day, had to have been; it was advertised

wasnt in the cards i guess.
the amps i have just was there at the right time..BOOM..bought it.

Gotta be 5 bands of parametric though. There ARE uses for 1/3 octave
EQ's, BUT you need to know how to use them correctly. Yes, some of
those uses can pertain to an automotive situation. If I'm mixing FOH
I'll take 6 bands of fully swept variable Q parametric anyday, if I'm
doing monitoprs, phooey, I want 1/3 octave or better yet digital with
as many notches and as fine of bandwidth as I can get. 5 bands of
parametric in a car does me OK, I'd love to have one more or the
ability to go a little wider in Q than the Alpine allows.

talked about. I just have no use for them since i don't get into the
situations you seem to, and plus I guess I'm not audiophile enough :).
Shoot I only use one dial on my 5 band EQ (bumped the 250 hz up a db or
two) and turned down 15k to -2 on my deck. nothing major there.
Though i spose if I had the 31 bands at my disposal I'd play with them
a little, who wouldn't? But I can certainly do without, especially for
the cost.

What alpine are you using?
