Anyone remember MTX Thundercast Speakers?

I came across a pair of these, I always wanted a pair back around 1996.
These are massive much like the JBL GTI series of the old days Pre
Cerwin vega Stroker.


I have a NOS (new old stock pair) Anyone ever run them? Any diehard
fans out there want the nicest pair ever to be uncovered?


Almost 300oz magnet 3in Voice coil, ferro fluid cooled.

Massive speaker.

Orange surround, 500 RMS, 1000w peak, 4 ohms, dust cover says '1000
Watts' on it.. And yes, they are massive as hell... I have a pair of
these, had em for about 10 years now.. They sounded great in my car,
they got pounded on for years. I just replaced em about 3 years ago
with some new JL's. Now they are pulling sub duty on a PA, getting
pushed by a QSC850 poweramp!
