I dropped a screwdriver and poked a hole in the rubber surroundings of
my 4x6 speaker.
This will obvious affect the sound.... since it cant move air to well
with a hole in it...
Any way i can patch up the hole???
I dont plan on cranking my speakers excessively loud.... so would a
hot glue gun dab of glue work?

I have done this LOADS of times accidentally. Also, I like to have the
speaker grills off on my home-speakers and unfortunately my cats have got
their claws in them a number of times. I use super-glue (others use rubber
cement, everybody has their adhesive of choice for this) and you just cover
the hole or tear completely (so you have an air-tight seal). You speaker
should be as good as new when the adhesive dries (of course, it won't LOOK
new anymore, but who cares). I've never known this trick to effect the
sound quality of a driver.

Two words: Duct Tape.
Just kidding -- use some sort of rubber cement and it should be fine.

Shoe-Goo works very well also, did this with some 6x9's that the dirt had
worn thru the rubberlike surround and they still pound pretty well.
