Too bad that I dont have the room to mount these outside of the box, the back
looks kinda sexy lol

FOUR OF THOSE ALPINE SUBS WOULD ROCK!!!!!! TRUST ME, THAT IS MY DREAM COME
TRUE!!!!!!
Time for you to make a new video! I NEED to make one myself, you wouldn't
believe the amount of air that blows through my ports (I can feel the breeze
from 20 feet away). I want some way to visually show this (I noticed you
used a silk scarf or something hanging near the port). The coins on the
hood of the car were also a nice touch. I added some new pictures to my
little page (showing the addition of a high-power cap with LED indicator and
some new battery connectors). Check it out at:

I assume that hinged area on the box is where the amp(s) go? Don't
forget some pretty hefty ventilation...

As soons as it's done I'll do another video, should be done in about a month.
I still need two optimas and cash is at an all time **** low right now, as you
know I bought the 97 crown vic cop car. Well so much for that. Two weeks after
I got the car my wife comes home and says my car is smoking ( her 89 vic), she
popped the head gasket and the car was just not worth the repairs. As soon I
seen the antifreeze ****ing out the side of the engine block I said to her way
to go you killed the car it's done not worth the repair. She started crying
like their is no tomorrow and that's how I lost my car. All you single guys I
hope you are learning something from this LOL. If that's not enough the
police seats weren't powered and she couldn't reach the pedals, Now we needed
new power seats since she can reach the pedals in my 94 with power seats,
there went more cash and I ended up removing the rubber matting and replacing
it with carpet while I was at it.. Then she need her radio installed since the
car did not have one, more cash for a mounting kit. Now that she had the
radio, so it wouldn't get stolen I had to inslall a car alarm, but no a
nornal one wouldn't, it had to have a starter and power lock too. I know this
doesn't have anything to do with this topic , but I had to vent.
That was a total accident, that was a rag that I keep in the car normally
tucked at the side of the box. Some tin tinsel would do the trick, you know
like the stiff used on xmas trees, some stores string it off their fans and AC
units in the summer when they go sale. I'm sure you know the stuff.
Funny that you brought up the coins, some guy pm'ed me at the realm and said "
those coins aren't bouncing the much for what you are running" I'm like their
not dimes and quarters their Canadian $1 and $2 coins the size of US 50 cent
coins duh LOL.
The LED's look wild, not sure what it is but I have always had a thing for
blue LED's. The cap looks cool, too bad it didn't come in a blue to match, if
you ever park your truck for more then 12 weeks, disconnect the cap. I have
digital caps in both of my cars and they sit parked for 6 months out the the
year and the caps run the batteries dead in 2 to 3 weeks because of the auto
discharge that the digital caps have. Nice battery connectors, are they
stainless steel? I can't stand the brass crap because of the green/blue funk
that grows on them. By the way nice optima, now I need to find one more before
I do some midnight shopping lol.

The hinged area on the box is where I plan to mount my add-ons, xover, cap,
sirius tuner, Epicenter, distro-blocks, wiring and breakers. The 3 amps will
go on top of the lid. It should look alright, all 3 amps match, two MTX
1501D's and one MTX 1004. I still have another matching MTX 942 that I am not
using since Mosfet thinks that driving tweeters with a 1000 watt amp is
insane LOL.

That other gear will still get warm, so some level of ventilation is
still recommended - a vent in one end, a small fan in the other, just to
move the air through...

No, I think driving tweeters with a 1000 watt amp is a GOOD idea!
But in all honesty, I just think it makes sense to have a separate channel
of amplification for every single speaker in your system (hence
bi-amplifying front separates). The reasons are pretty obvious; when your
midrange speaker begins to clip, it will clip the ENTIRE signal (bass AND
treble). If you bi-amplify your mids and tweets you will not have this
problem (if your mids begin to clip, this will not effect your tweets). For
a while I was driving my separates with my SS Ref. 700 (125 watts X 2 RMS).
Now you would THINK this would be enough power for a pair of typical
separates (6.5" midrange and 1" tweeter) with a high-pass X-over at about
80Hz. Wrong. When I cranked my system up, I would occasionally hear those
tweeters making NASTY sounds. Now I drive my midbass (JL VR650) with a
Fosgate 225.2 and my tweeters (MB Quart PSD 1") with a Jensen A46XP (60
watts X 2 RMS) and it sounds SO MUCH BETTER!!!! It's like night and day,
the dynamics are incredible.
Well, there I go on a long winded tangent...my wife hates it when I do that
;)

Thats a good reason for using separate amps, crossovers. Its
the only way you can use an active crossover designed specifically
for that driver. And levels. Some good crossovers also have delays to
align time and phase things up electrically.
