Hi there

is anyone able to help me in pricing some Coustic amps and other pieces from
my car's audio set up?

Here's the model No's and specs:

Coustic Power logic AMP 460
98 watts RMS per channel
250 watts RMS (bridged mono)

Coustic Power Logic AMP 160
30 watts RMS per channel
(this is currently mounted to a Coustic XM5 crossover)

Coustic AMP 268
4x45 watts RMS

Also have 2 10" subs
4 ohm
(IMF) 350 watts

Panasonic EAN 330
3 way passive crossovers
Input = 150 watts
IMP = 4 ohm

As far as I know this is early - mid '90's stuff but I would appreciate it
if anyone can give clues as to what it's worth. I have pics if that helps.

Thanks heaps

These were pretty good amps in their day and if they are in good condition,
they should still be worth something. The problem is that today's amps are
much more powerful (dollars per watt) so you can't expect THAT much.

> Coustic Power logic AMP 460
> 98 watts RMS per channel
> 250 watts RMS (bridged mono)

This listed for $399 back in '94. You might get $20-$40 today.

> Coustic Power Logic AMP 160
> 30 watts RMS per channel
> (this is currently mounted to a Coustic XM5 crossover)

This listed for $179 in '94. Maybe you can get $15.

This listed for $449 in '94. You might expect to get $20-$30.

I am basing this on my Ebay buying and selling experience. Unfortunately,
most people do not know that Coustic made some really first rate gear in the
early '90's. I used to have a Coustic AMP-505DR (Digital Reference Series)
and I swear this was perhaps the finest built amp I have ever seen. The
good news is that now is the right time to sell (early spring) as folks are
upgrading their systems in anticipation of summer and used prices are much
higher than winter.
