I'm getting old, my memories getting worse!!!

After driving a car with a built in radio for over a year I've just
changed cars to one that has a DIN slot so I can use my LA 74 once
again.
For the life of me I can't remember if it requires a code once its
re-powered up. I've searched the handbook and can find no mention of
it being coded. I've a gut feeling it relies upon the detachable
faceplate as security.
I believe the LA 74 is the same as the Seattle MP74 in operation
according to the handbook front.

Can anyone help an old amnesiac ?

Many thanks,
Stu

Hey Stu,

If your unit is just the detachable faceplate model (no security card) it
should power up fine, with no requirement for a code to operate.

My MP52 Seattle has operated this way when I installed, and when I have
disconnected the battery.

You can always test with a 12 volt supply source, a few cable clips and a
speaker or two before install....
