I was wondering if there was anyone here that is located in the
Portland, OR area who would be willing to help me install my car
stereo? Actually, I am looking for someone to guide the whole process
with me doing everyting that I can to help so that I can learn the ins
and outs of everything.
I am a struggling college student and I am willing to pay, albeit, it
may not be much. Hopefully there is someone who can help me out.
Thanks everyone!

not to jump in cuz, I am not much help to you, but if I were in Portland,
I'd definitely help you for a 6 pack of cerveza! Unfortunately I'm at the
other corner of the nation! :( Good luck, but I'm sure you'll find that
basic installs are nothing complicated, just require you to dedicate some
time.

Sup Sam? I don't know anyone here from the Portland area. Too bad you
weren't in Seattle, MOSFET is up there somewhere (a regular on the group)
and I'm over in Walla Walla. Good luck man!!

Yes, I would love to help you if you were in the Seattle area. Though I
used to live in Portland. There is a guy I would try to find, his name is
Glen Gable and he lives in Portland (Beaverton, actually). He used to work
at Magnolia Hi-Fi (he probably still does) in both their installation and
sales department. We are good friends, and he used to help me all the time
with my installations. He has a VERY well equipped shop of his own at his
home, and does TONS of free-lance work. He is the WORLDS NICEST GUY!!! I
promise he would be more than happy to help you. I don't know his number,
but try first the Magnolia Hi-Fi in Beaverton (and then try the
yellow-pages). Tell him Nick Tanner sent you.
Good luck,
MOSFET
