Depends on what you mean by "best". For the best sound quality, you
are most likepy to get that by purchasing a commericially manufactured
CD reissue - if they've done it right it'll be at least four
generations closer to the master tape than your disc. And if you value
your time at more than $15US/hr, it's cheaper too.
Of course, this won't help if you've got rare out of print stuff.
For that (or if you're just looking to do it yourself cause you like
mucking about with audio gear), there are two basic approaches: stand
alone burner that you plug into your hifi and use like a tape deck, or
a computer with a CD burner.
