I just received an email with a link to this website http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?t=24005
They had some sort of ordeal in 2004 (you can read about it in the thread), but they are selling their 12" subs for $50 limited to 12 per buyer. ED has some real nice subs, and for those that are looking for entry level, these are a steal. They are not the 2005 or 2006 models, but they are all unused and more or less brand new.. just a few years behind. Read the story in the link from ED and check it out!

If I had $50 sitting around, I'd nail this in a heartbeat.

Huh... I never knew they were based in Iowa. Like an hour and a half
from me... or like 10 minutes from my sister. I should see if I can just
do a pick up instead of delivery. I gotta drive through there next
week anyway.

Where at in Iowa? My buddy lived right on the Mississippi and graduated
from UNI. His wife went to Uof I (I guess that's what y'all call it), and a
guy I went to high school with plays for ISU (Austin Flynn, #27). He was a
starting QB for a while, and now he's a Flanker and special teams.

I'm in Des Moines. My sisters went to Univerisity of Iowa (UofI) and
I've got a lot of friends that went to ISU. And cousins that went to UNI.

Supposedly there were issues with ED not even sending their products out
after being ordered.. parroted information, one should check into it.
As close as some other posters are, I'd recommend going there and
picking them up.

Assuming they ship from the Iowa location and not some other warehouse
somewhere. They state on their site they have multiple buildings/warehouses.

I just ordered a subwoofer and amplifier on 3/25/06 and recieved it today.
Both items were shipped from Iowa and I live in Florida.
I've been dealing with elemental designs for quite a while. I had one of
their flat cone 12A's and I wish I still had it. That was an incredible sub.
I sold it when I bought a Jeep Rubicon and I didn't want to take up much
needed space with a subwoofer.
Anyways, they are reputable and they have over 1200 feedback with 99.8%
positives on ebay.
I would imagine if there were people who were complaining about not getting
products, it was because they ordered pre-production products at a
pre-production price and they got tired of waiting. That's the way it goes
when you do pre-order stuff.
