View Full Version : Will these work well together?
I am relatively new to car audio and was wondering if this single sub
would work with this amp.
I have a 92 prelude with the front and rear speakers hooked directly to
the receiver which is a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP.
Amp:

Please let me know if you need more info.
Thanks in advance.

That amp and sub combination should work just fine together. The key thing
being that this sub can present a 2 ohm load (two 4 ohm voice coils in
parallel) which will maximize the output of that particular amp.
That being said, however, I have generally not heard positive things about
the sound quality of Audiobahn subs. Also, if it were my system, I would
prefer just a bit more cone area to move more air. I would go with a pair
of 10's or a single high-quality 12" (or pair of 12's!). If you are like
most of us here, a single 10" just won't cut it.
My $.02,

I've had the sub for a while now but the amp that I bought originally
just plain sucks. I think the problem was the amp because it would just
turn on and off randomly but when it was on the sub sounded really
good. I'm not looking for a blow your eardrums bass puncher, just
something to compliment and balance my speaker setup. So a single 10
should do me just fine.
It appears that I've double posted the topic, sorry about that. Is it
possible to delete one of them?
