(Electrofine Music - www.electrofine.com)

INNER WORLDS is music that soothes and brings to heart the freedom to
discover within. Music can open a pathway to the inner self.
Through this pathway we discover inner worlds.

JIM PIETKIVITCH
Jim Pietkivitch has been involved in music his whole life as a serious
listener, performer and composer. He started with the oboe, followed
by piano lessons with Charles Mahdasian, and eight years of music
instruction from Dean Murphy and well known jazz instructor, Al
Clausen. He then started drumming and took four years of private
lessons from nationally acclaimed jazz percussionist, Joe Pulice,
going on to perform publically with original progressive rock bands
and an award winning-high school jazz ensemble. Pietkivitch added
synthesizers to his repertoire and released his debut label. SPIRAL
JOURNEY, the label¹s first release, received international
recognition, national distribution, and was aired on over 200 NPR,
college and public radio stations; it is rated 4 out of 5 stars by All
Music Guide.

Pietkivitch¹s new album, INNER WORLDS, includes performances by
vocalist and flutist, Melanie Lunsford, giving his music even wider
appeal. Lunsford starting singing at age six in both group and solo
performances, and has been playing flute for over 10 years. She is a
certified vocal coach and has led various musical groups as a
chorister and choir director. She has lent her talents to various
dramatic productions that involved her abilities as an actor as well
as a musician.

"Your albums remind me about the golden age of electronic music
pioneers. Your releases takes spacemusic and electronic visions of the
innovators a step further, while boldly exploring new directions.²
- Marius-Christian Burcea, FUN Radio, Bucharest, Romania

INNER WORLDS
While AMP magazine described Jim Pietkivitch¹s spacemusic recording
SPIRAL JOURNEY as ³a masterpiece of cosmic proportions,² his new album
INNER WORLDS is warmer, more melodic, possessing both sheer elegance
and truly beautiful articulated soundscapes. It has soaring themes and
subtly uplifting rhythms - as well as plenty of pretty and peaceful
moods - but also enough synth loops, samples, swells, washes and and
effects to suit the most ardent fans of electronic music. Once into
the textural heart of each piece, Pietkivitch graces each note with
languid care and loving attention; there are no "throw-away" notes
used as filler, or draining long silences. INNER WORLDS captivates,
and is a joy to hear from start to finish.

³Electronic keyboards,² notes Pietkivitch, ³are often designed to
synthesize acoustic instruments or other instruments like an electric
organ, violin, or a guitar. I understand why most synths are aimed to
be successful in replicating or reproducing real instruments; however,
I get excited when the instrument allows me to be more creative and
produce sounds from my imagination. New opportunities can therefore
open up to explore new music; this is one reason why I really enjoy
writing music with electronic instruments.²

Instrumentation: synthesizers, Roland V-drums, djembe, Native American
drums, rain stick, Tibetan bell, flute, vocals

INNER WORLDS is available at music stores; iTunes and other digital
