You should encourage your school-age son to chuck his dead-end job in the
auto parts store and join the Border Patrol. They'll issue him weapons and
pretty soon he can deal with those damn illegals the way God wants
Americans to deal with them.

I was thinking of forming a militant wing of the minutemen. We'll call
it the BBB for Build a Border Bunker. We'll offer internet remote
controlled .50 cals you can rent time on. What do you think... I'm thinking
at least $100/hour at prime border run times dawn and dusk... and all night
with night vision for a grand. All I need is a Texas border ranch but the
drug cartels keep outbidding me. You want to get in on this idea?

Scottie, did you make a joke? Excuse me while I recalibrate my
'borgometer...
Regretfully, I must demur on your offer. Although your plan, if
actualized, would potentially address the immigration issue that has you
so riled up, it would also have the unfortunate side effect of encouraging
excessive drinking by people who already do too much of that. I wouldn't
want to be an enabler of drunkenness even in the cause of saving jobs that
no American wants anyway.

News today that the Mexican government, has decided not to hand out maps as
originally planned, since they now believe this would make it easier for the
illegals to be caught.
It's amazing how something as reasonable and normal as protecting a
country's borders would be opposed by anyone, especially since those who
oppose tight border controls claim that it is humanitarian to let the
illegals flood across the border and suck our social services dry. The
effect is to make it harder if not impossible for those already here, and
struggling, to rise above the poverty level. IOW it harms those who are
least able to and most needy of the services that the illegals are draining
off.
Then of course, there's the fact that in Mexico, if someone tries to come
across their southern border, they will likely be shot and killed. And
let's not forget that a country as rich in resources as Mexico is, has no
reason other than incompetence for their economic situation. They should be
among the more prosperous counties in the world, instead of one of the
poorest.
That those who wish to keep the border tightly controlled to keep out those
who are wreaking havoc on our economy are called racist is more evidence of
how intellectually bankrupt they are.
There's also the fact that it is in our self interest to keep tight controll
over those coming into our country, since 9/11, and the fact that several of
the 9/11 terrorists came through Mexico, making border control a real matter
of national security.

Damn.... and for just a few thousand I could have had my bunker listed as
a watering hole.

Mexico has more billionaires than the United States. Mexico is ruled
by a substantially white, yet utterly corrupt ruling clique whose goals
are to live in high style and expropriate as much money as possible and
send it to Switzerland. There is a small middle class and then there is
a teeming mass of mestizos with no education, assets, or for the most
part much ambition, which the ruling clique is quite happy to see
migrate to El Norte and send their money southward. Jorge W. Bush, El
Presidente del Norte, and his neocon-fundie-Khazar apparatus have made
these people far wealthier and the working class of America far poorer.
Is there a solution? Goddamn straight there is. But no one in power,
there or here, will benefit, and American voters are too addled with
Jebabble to do much to right matters.
