Sony Elite Series Reel to Reel Recorder ?

Does anyone know if Sony produced an Elite Series (ES) reel to reel
recorder? If so, can you advise when and model numbers?

Checked Orion Blue Books, and the last year listed for a Sony reel to reel was
1978. If I remember correctly, the ES line of components didn't become
available until the early 1980s.
