Need basic car audio tutorial

I am wanting to do a simple upgrade to me new Grand Cherokee. No Subs, cross
overs, new speakers, ect. Nothing crazy. Just want to up the quality sound a
notch while keeping my factory stereo intact.

Can anyone direct me to a site that will give me the basics of car audio?
I'm thinking maybe I need a small amp or EQ?
