Jason Bourne? You're kidding right?
If I were to guess, I'd guess that was a telemarketing name. Telemarketers
rarely use their real names, especially if they are in any way difficult to
spell.
You are familar with the Bourne Indentity where the main character's name is
Jason Bourne.

What did they claim to offer?

I paid for a McIntosh Amplifier ( thru Ebay ) , I thought it would be a
relatively "safe" purchase, he had good feedback (at the time) , and I
didn't realize that Paypal would only cover the intial $175.00 cost,
since the source of the money was not from a credit card . To make a
long story short, Paypal tried to recoup my funds , but he had no money
in his account to freeze. On top of this, he asked me to drop the issue
with Paypal so he could accept payments from other customers. He said
if I were to drop the Paypal issue he'd get additional funds and than
pay me back ( minus $25.00 which he claims I owed him , which is
tottally wack , the guy basically doesn't know how to do simple math !)
.. My answer was "NO" . After that he pretty much stopped answering my
emails . Yes I wrote the NY State Attorney Generals office, they
declined to investigate, claiming it was a personal private party
matter, and not with a business. To sum it up, yup , I was taken for a
ride.
Btw, he appears to operate out of Slate Hill, New York, I know of at
least 6 others that paid between several hundred to $1,500. and got
either nothing or trashed chassis that were inoperable.
Again, if you have had dealiings with him please get in touch with me
as the police would like to get i ntouch with you , and hopefully we'll
get some heat on him.

This reminds me of Randy Boggess: http://monkeyfreak.com/RSO.htm
Maybe he moved to NY so he could set up again.

A good case in point to always use your credit card and never bank funding
with Paypal.
