People have threatened to rat out the Kroo to his pastor before, but nobody
has ever followed through.

He's had a shrink, several in fact. Since he refuses to take his medication
and routinely declares himself "cured", there is little we can do. Bob sits
in his room and telephones around the world, claiming to have information
about a wide variety of people. He thinks that because people are polite and
listen to his rantings that they actually believe him - but they put the
phone down and either shake their head in pity or roar in peals of laughter.
He senses that everyone is laughing at him but without strong psychotropic
medication his grasp of reality is tenuous at best. Mr. Krueger's pastor, if
called, will likely react with pity and compassion, because clearly no
rational human would take a call from a stranger seriously - a pastor that
knows and respects Krueger would easily peg Bob's rantings of that coming
from a lunatic.

Sad, really. Sadder that he's 53 years old and never been employed, or
contributed anything of value to society. Of this fact I am deeply ashamed.

Middius knows better than this because he coached someone
who did exactly that.

Only people who have no idea about churches work would think
twice about ratting someone out to a pastor. Letsee on the
one hand we have an unknown Usenet sickie, and on the other
hand you've got this guy who been right there for the church
for decades.

It's something I have no problem doing. I would let Arny's posts do most of
the talking. I would simply outline the problem in the most elementary
terms, which is Arny's decoration of his posts, many of which contain useful
information, with gratuitous verbal aggression, and the apparent desire to
dominate this milieu.. I am not seeking to criminalize Arny. However,
gratuitous verbal aggression is a sign of a disturbance of the spirit, which
most pastoral workers consider within their purview.

If, at any point, anyone feels motivated to get this information, I promise
it will not lie fallow.

Much to McCarty's regret, I am not shy about talking on the phone.

Hi Rob!

Arnii has posted this information before so I'm sure it is out there.
However, I would think twice before involving outsiders into this mess. Do
you think for a moment that his church doesn't know what an utterly sick
asshole he is? He has said before that he hangs out with his priest all the
time. Go figure.

I think it would be more illuminating if you went to meet him mano a mano to
sort out your differences. I believe a former RAO poster Mark Philips did
something like that and almost sent Krueger to the orbit.

I believe Mr. **** just claimed somebody already ratted him out to his
pastor. It could be that Turdy is ... confused, let's say, about which
authority figure received the reports of his nastiness. Marc Phillips said
several times he reported the Beast's apparent pedophiliac tendencies to
the police. Given™ Krooger's overall mental imbalance, it's quite possible
he is unable to distinguish the police from his pastor.

Or perhaps Mr. **** will share some details of the incident he alleges. Who
got the pastor involved? How long ago? What did this person accuse Mr. ****
of doing or saying? Tell us everything, Arnii. I promise we won't lose any
respect for you. ;-)

Margaret, maybe I'll get blown off, but I'm not sensitive. In fact, I'm
pretty much made of cast iron. If I do get blown off, I'll post how it came
down. Some people exhibit multiple personalities. Dennis Rader was a church
deacon. McCarty was a "businessman", who fooled a lot of people. Arny
acquitted himself in a dignified and competent manner in The Debate, and now
he's back to this.

My goals are quite modest. I want someone Arny respects to encourage him to
edit out the contempt, hate, and paranoia. The difference between Arny and
the rest of us is that he actually thinks he has enemies. In comparison,
George at his worst has a gadfly aspect to him. His are the multiple
pinpricks of a swarm of mosquitoes, while Arny's is a bite to the bone.

I can only speak for myself, but I'd break bread with anybody here.

I do have a McCarty recording, obtained off an answering machine (which
makes it legal), which I will be happy to send to anybody in whose email
address I have reasonable confidence. I don't tape where there are legal
question marks. However, I am still eager to hear The Tape, which as the
late, lamented Devil says, "shows Arny is a genuinely nasty man."

Interesting concept. Atkinson could have met with me "mano a
mano" on any of 3 days at HE2005 to sort out our
differences. While I did meet with one or more Stereophile
staffers at HE2005, Atkinson hid from me.

Philips once posted here that he stalked me at my house in
Grosse Pointe. He was way to chicken to actually try to meet
with me. He was also probably lying because he got a lot of
details about my house wrong.

Bottom line - the whole lot of you talk big on Usenet, but
in real life you're all a bunch of whimps.

What's surprising is that this article seems to claim that Arnold is

A similar debate is going on now on aus.hi-fi re Phil Allison, who has
been making unwanted phone calls to another poster. I'm absolutely
opposed to taking usenet business outside usenet unless a crime is

Given Atkinson's state of preparation which was close to
zilch, there's obvious evidence to support that viewpoint.

Pity that link isn't still there.

I have a picture of a dark haired young man. Hair parted on the
right. Plaid shirt. Either a backpack or another kind of shoulder bag.
Is that you?

No, not even close. But you knew that. ;-)

How would I know that? It's a picture in my pic dir
and it's labeled "George". I thought maybe it came
from a link from Graham.

Because I sent you a pic once that looks nothing like that guy.

Maybe it's just his fantasy of what I look like. According to Bobo, R/G/D
is terrified that Harry Potter might be gay.
