While trying to ground my head unit to get rid of alternator whine, I
accidentally attached my ground wire to my power inverter's power wire.
Now both my new and old head units wont power up. I checked all the
fuses under my hood.

Does anyone have any ideas??? Are there more fuse locations on a BMW
E36? I'm dying here :(

Update: My stock head unit actually works, so I think that means the
prob is in my new HU, right?

Yes. I'm not an electrical expert, but that sounds like your problem.
