have mostly in-walls and a couple in-ceiling speakers I have never done
this before and was wondering if anybody has any tips on installing them....

take your time and leave a little room for fit....at least and 1/8 of an
inch....many people also like them to protrude form the wall a 1/4
inch....but that's just a thought

or not many posters who have, I just got done doing my brother in laws place
with in wall's from Phoenix gold a 6.1 setup....they sound very
good,,,are a bi-polar design and he got a pretty good deal on them. I liked
them best protruding from the wall 1/4 in that flush. this also makes the
finishing of the wall easier as far as the sheet rock goes

depends on the depth of the wall, his outside walls were only 2x4 so depth
became an issue, we ended up using very thick plastic and just lining the
wall with it. As far a sound insulation, the speakers themselves had a
liner for that

Mostly I've installed in-ceilings. In drop ceilings, so it's easy to take
the tile down and work on it on the floor.
