2 questions if I may

1. Mid tier units recommendation:

Kenwood KDC-MP4028
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4m7uvoj7JMp/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&id=essential_info&i=113MP4028#Tab

or

Pioneer DEH-P4700MP
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4m7uvoj7JMp/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&id=essential_info&i=130DEHP470#Tab

Looking for a basic, halfway decent sounding stock radio replacement on a
budget. Thoughts on either of these two?

2. Also, the Kenwood features a built in corssover and in reading the
reviews, some exclaim how much they like that feature. I cannot find it
explained for novices. What is this and for a "basic listener" that won't
add amps or other stuff, am I missing much?

Appreciate any advice, thanks!

A friend of mine has the same unit as that kenwood you're speaking of. The
crossover's fairly cool, and allows you to adjust the highpass for the front
speakers, rear speakers, and the low pass for the subwoofer(s). Descent
visuals too.. The only thing I dont care about with the Kenwood deck is the
flop down face.. The left side will pop outwards, and the face will drop
very fast.. But IMO I'd go with the Kenwood...
