i want to play my mp3 player to speakers on my bike.
i have a pioneer 2x25w amp but my speakers are 10w max
can anyone please suggest ways of reducing the amp o/p
to match the speakers.

You could either adjust the gain on the amp so that it will never overdrive
the speakers, or just be careful with the volume control. What kind of amp
and speakers are they? Becuase 25w per channel might be 25w max and I'm
guessing your speakers can probably handle more than 10w for brief periods
of time.

amp is pioneer gm-e04 with no control knobs or dials of any kind.
speakers don't seem to have any makers name(probably cheap and nasty)

Well, if it were me I would just adjust your volume accordingly (as opposed
to buying new speakers, that is).

Why bother with an amp at all, does your head unit have an inbuilt
amplifier? Usually more than enough to run standard speakers.
