His public humilation is priceless.

hippopotami that tantalize him.

If you think trotsky has suffered humiliation on Usenet, then you
must be supremely delirious with joy, elated beyond words, and
indescribably ecstatic at the actual humiliations accumulated by
your buddy Krooger.

My buddy?
An alliance of convenience.
There isn't even any communication between the two fronts.
Both of them suffer from distortion of beliefs.
Krueger is a high-end nihilist.
Trotsky promulgates rigid beliefs based upon economic self interest.
As it happens, I find Krueger less offensive than Trotsky, even if,
paradoxically, I would more willingly have spent time spinning CDs in
Trotsky's store than in Krueger's house.
Krueger is a religious crusader, with the stridency of a Wahabi.
He trys to convert by the sword.
He is a religious fanatic, and has suffered considerably by his devotion.
In this regard, he is an interesting character study.
One could argue with Krueger for days, and he'll come back with charts,
figures, tables, and wav samples.
He is a dangerous opponent.
Trotsky has nothing but a box with two holes, two Chinese drivers, and a
website with a gay guy.
All I can do is nuke him and watch the mushroom cloud with delight.
To drop Chinese drivers in a box and call it high-end audio is a travesty of
what the finest makers actually do.
Even if you are antipathetic toward the quantitative, a lot of design work
has to be done that way, before the subjective adjustments are made.

It means that whatever he's selling is the best thing in the world.
Of course, in the absence of sales, he has a personal crisis.

I believe that in some cases, the web, and newsgroups such as these, can
help establish a business.
However, it would appear that both Singh and Krueger engage in
self-destructive behavior.
Given the highly liberal attitude of the mental health establishment, both
are probably poorly adjusted individuals, but not insane. McCarty, on the
other hand, is actually a compulsive, to the extent that it would probably
be recognized as a diagnosis.

There actually is a cottage industry of small scale speaker manufacturers. I
don't know how viable they are, but perhaps they don't have Greg's sure-fire

Just the relevant facts, ma-am.
Morein you didn't mention my two web sites. One with over 40,000 readers per
month and the other distributing enough materials to support maybe two
hundred (200) NEW ABX tests PER DAY and 200 NEW ABX testers per week. It's
been running full force for about 24 months. Go figure.

Krueger is crazy. I choose that term because it also has a colloquial
meaning of "off center."
It saddens me because he actually knows a lot. He simply suffers from what
L. Sprague DeCamp called the "right man syndrome", ie., a male-domination
syndrome whereby the afflicted believes he is always right. Krueger's case
fits the syndrome to a T, and is very similar to the profile of religious
zealots and political extremists. DeCamp believed that the great dictators
of history suffered from "right man."
I do not know what Krueger's beliefs are in other domains. If Krueger
suffers from "right man" only with respect to hi-fi, it is a minor
abberation. On the other hand, if it carries through to all the domains of
his life, then he would, as you claim, be truely insane.
Strangely, being insulted by a religious zealot like Krueger bothers me
little compared to the malignant pettiness of Greg Singh. I have seen him
try to tear opponents down, without any clear objective. It was such a
pleasure to target this arthropod just when he was molting.

Rigid methodology, flexible specifics. Once a sales droid, always a sales
droid. Not that I really care about saving humanity from corrupt sales
droids. It just happened to be payback time.
>

Middius, this is balance of power politics. First we face the clear and
present danger. Singh wants to take over the high end world by infiltrating
it with simalucrums. Today, shoeboxes disguised as speakers. Tomorrow,
amplifiers made out of Sanyo hybrids. You really need to read some Philip K.
Dick. Things are not what they seem.
Later, after the world order has been stabilized, a policy of containment
can be applied to Krueger.
Surely you're close enough to the Beltway to understand these terms.

I vary my demeanor depending upon the job.
In the case of McCarty, the appropriate response must be utterly monotonous,
not the least entertaining, because to do otherwise would provide him with
positive feedback.
Here, the stakes are very low. It is a voluntary madhouse. These posts are
performance art. We're all on the stage of a very wicked French farcial

I think it's fair to say that the high end is dying. You're just helping it

There is a kernel of truth in what you say. Greg's nonperforming speakers
are an example.
Unfortunately, you want to take down the whole edifice, which has some
valuable parts.
If you were the problem, the answer would be simple.

This is where Morein goes totally off-kilter. I've publicly admitted to more
factual errors more often and more thoroughly than anybody else who posts on

Over-generalized. The high end as we knew it 20 years ago IS dying. "The
High End Of Audio" is a marketing concept and there will always be one.
What changes is the tokens, not the game.

The winds of change and demographics rule us all. I'm just trying to help

The market segment Greg is trying to address, yes it's an example. Greg's
speakers are too trivial and too tiny of a force to even make a good
example.

But as you correctly observe Morein, I'm not the problem.

The amazing thing was that I was spot on when I told you that your
comments on speakers were exactly like people that judge a movie by
looking at the previews, and yet you still persist. You may be trying
to set the record for disingenuousness here, but Krueger will always

One question please.
Have you imagine that you are speaking with somebody who is 100% part of
the hallucination... Like in K. Dick schizophrenia ?
;-)
You speak about the Krueger's "wahabist" behaviour and you intelligently
add that if this behaviour only find his climax on RAO, the rest of his
life could be quiet, "socialy acceptable" which is the contrary of
insane. Right ?
Krueger justify his presence here by the title of the newsgroup :
rec.audio.opinion. He has an encyclopedic knowledge in audio and share
it in a *very* personal way with Lembda who post a question on RAO.
If one only consider Krueger in the matter he excels, if one consider
Krueger only like an answering machine, he can get a benefit of
Krueger's presence on RAO. Still right ?
Please let me have your point concerning what I would like to call the
Middius anti-Krueger "wahabist" crusade on R.A.O. More than 7 years of
war !!! How could you please explain such exacerbate behaviour ? For a
newbie what is Middius' real "usefulness" here ?
I already have my "answer" but I would like to share your.
Thanks,
Lionel

I'm cherry-picking bits from your last post because most of it,
finally, separated diatribe from fact.
This bit, for instance, is a likable little non-denial denial. In
your mind, Singh's success would be both wildly unlikely and
repugnant; at the same time, you realistically allow for the
possibility that you won't get the satisfaction of helping sweep the
ashes into the bin.

I was referring to the so-called "flavor enhancers" used by
cigarette companies. Kitty litter is, as you should know, one of
Krooger's favorite touchstones, presumably because it's where the
kitty poo is.
BTW, I have read most of Philip K. Dick's novels and some of his
short stories, but they didn't make a great impression on me. I
finished his entire oeuvre before I graduated high school.

That may be true, considering the number of errors you make. However,
you probably have the worst ratio of errors/ADMITTED errors than
anyone who posts on any audio group in USENET.

As if you're qualified to determine when I've made technical errors, Weil.
As if you've admitted to even a tiny fraction of the technical errors you've
made.

First of all, I didn't restrict it to "technical errors", nor did you
specify "tecnical errors" in your original claim.
Second of all, I'm pretty much on record as *instantly* and
*unequivocally* admitting when I make a mistake. I don't use quibble
words, nor attempt to avoid responsibility, even when the correction
comes from you.

Well Weil, that agrees with your well-known habit of treating typos and
imperfect syntax as a federal case when you're cornered.
Of course I didn't specify "tecnical errors". Anybody can see why.

No, it agrees with me busting you for changing the context.

This is true.
The only thing I'm sorry about with this typo is that it allowed you
to avoid responsibility.

As to the first, I don't know *what* you're talking about. As to the

xmax, didn't I? First of all, I don't think I ever made a mistake when

That fits Weil, given how totally ill-informed you were on the topic the
first time around.
BTW Weil, is this your way of admitting that Comcast blocked your access to
google? Why else would you have so little memory of that drubbing that you
took? Come to think of it, the drubbing would explain why you've forgotten.

Nope. I asked you to provide the evidence and the only reason that any
conversation about it went on so long is that you were intentionally
holding back the information. As soon as you released it, I
acknowledged it. So *you* are to blame for any protracted conversation
about it.

No you didn't. You simply said that I might find the info in Google.
No specifics at all. Why didn't you supply the link at that time?
After all, it might have been quite a trial to find what you were
talking about without any company names.

I haven't pretended that it is anything other than it is. From my very
first post, which outlined my various gear, I've been up-front about
the gear that I own. And yes, in the subsequent years, it wouldn't be
considered unusual to have some equipment failures.
I'd hardly consider Cornwalls to be "cheap speakers". They're
certainly more expensive than any of *your* cheap speakers.
