View Full Version : Two billion years ago, an animal crept out of the sea...

Robert Morein
September 1st 05, 05:15 AM
Students of the fossil record christened it the mckelviphibian. It
pulled itself along the mud of the tidal flats, on spiny fins. Measurements
of the minute cranial cavity suggest a brain weight of about a gram.
Nevertheless, the mckelviphibian's lowly existence on earth overlapped that
of early sauropods.

The mckelviphibian fossil record is intermingled with that of the
krugersaurus, a small, bipedal sauropod that lived in the forest. While the
krugersaurus was formerly thought to be an ambush hunter of early mammals,
it is now believed it was a carrion feeder.

Why an early mckelviphibian should be found in the same fossil record as
the krugersaurus is one of the great mysteries of paleontology. Recently,
however, evidence suggests that the two had a symbiotic existence. The
mkckelviphibian was actually what scientists call a coprophage. To the
benefit of the krugersaurus, the mckelviphibian was a distraction to
predators that might prey on it; a completely expendable ally. The brains of
both these animals were so small, however, it is scarcely possible they
could have been aware of the arrangement.

Disagree. It's well written and funny. Can't you take a joke?

Mickey only thinks something's funny if Arnii "declares" it funny. This is
the latest regulation in the "debating trade" handbook.

Sure I can, I posted one just last night, that is related to my typing
problem, (it is not a spelling problem), under the title Bad Spellers of the
World.

It just that as a normal practice, I don't start threads with people's names
in them. I have done so in the past but only after much provocation, (IMO).

This particular "joke" comes on the heels of several posts by Bob claiming
that I don't belong here, so yeah, I don't find it all that funny.

Yes, and that was funny too. I hope it was original?

Personally I'm not a fan of attacking people (let alone excluding
them) on the basis of estimated I.Q., but as I respect Robert's
judgement I have to assume he knows what he's doing. I know there's
been bad blood between you, which is none of my business as I've been
out of RAO for some time. Would it perhaps be time to consider a puff
on the Peace Pipe?

How about it, Mikey?
I went after you because when you got your shiny new sockpuppet going, you
used it to post something about the Drexel case in a highly derogatory
fashion.
We could call it quits. What do you say?

He does have a point, Robert.

Even if he did use a comma instead of a full stop. :-)

Robert carries a grudge way too far.

are these reasons for expulsion campaigns?

You have a strange idea of Robert's agenda. A "campaign" that consists
entirely of badgering an uncouth slope-brow is pretty limited in scope,
wouldn't you say? I'll bet you didn't even read Robert's statement as to
why he's been badgering Mickey.

You're Mickey's spiritual successor. A few bonks on the head will bring

Do not say that as an interrogative. In reality, you refer to something
which you think of as fact.

As to "it", we would have to agree as to the issue under dispute. We do not.

What is that issue, Bob? Why is it an issue for you, Bob?

Ands I asked him to refresh my memory as to what he was ****ed about this
time.
He spends a lot of time ****ing on people and some more time compalining
about his past.
He also doesn't like it much when his pronouncements are challenged on
technical grounds, (even though the's very often gotten the details wrong).

IIRC he's now ****ed becuase I thought his lawsuit against Drexel was
foolish and a waste of time and money, since he was bound to lose in the
end.

I don't see why that should put me on his hound list, since it was a
foregone conclusion he would lose. Any one familiar with the grounds would
agree.

He constantly starts threads complaining about "bad science," yet has yet to
demostrate that he actually understands the process himself.

If there's a subject that he gets challenged on, and especially one where he
gets creamed on the tech details, he figures that gives him liscense to try
and hound them off the NG.

Tough ****.

His claims about not having to do a DBT because HE can listed sighted,
without any bias, is just a load of crap. So are his claims about QSC amps,
which are well built and sonically indistinguishable from other amps, as are
most pro audio amps.

He dishes out much more than is dished to him.

I ain't leavin'. Bob Morein will eventually melt down again and slouch off
and hide for a while as is his wont. I don't care what he says about me, I
don't care if likes what I say about him.

If he thinks spelling, typing and grammar are the determining factors in
intelligence, then he's a dumber **** than I gave him credit for.

Mikey, "compalining" is not a word.

Do not parenthesize this phrase: "(even though the's very often gotten the

No, Mikey, they are not the determining factors. They are symptoms. It is a

Mikey, you are plagiarizing Arny Krueger. This is a place for original
expression. If you are not smart enough to do this, find another group to
participate in with a similar intellectual level. Although you do not fit in
here, there are groups for people of all abilities, ranging all the way down
to the level of severe retardation. I am sure you can fit in somewhere.

I'm simply responding to Bob in the way he seems to understand. Given that
he can't answer any audio questions, and doesn't know anything about
science, there really is no point in trying to elevate the discussion.

I don't have the kind of time that you can devote to trying to be
disgusting.

What month should we be expecting something from you about audio?

Do you know what cognitive dissonance is? Unfortunately, it doesn't apply to you
because you seem to have zero cognitive ability.

Mikey, you have a weak mind and a low IQ. You lack the mental capacity to
contribute to this group, yet you are starkly unaware of this fact. My
advice to you is to know yourself. Understand that you were not gifted with
a strong mind. Find others to interact with who share your weakness. That is
the way of happiness for you.

One of the signs of a weak mind might be: repeating oneself ad
nauseum. My grandmother did that when she was well in her 80s.

I might add to that: quoting entire posts of sometimes hundreds of
lines, while adding the same old message each time.

Give it a rest, Bob, you're being immensely boring and annoying .

A little harsh, Sander. I suppose you're not directing similar advice to
Mickey because you know he's not up to the task of processing it?

I apologize, Sander. Brainwashing is a tedious process. I certainly didn't
expect you to read this. The only individual captivated by this is the
individual being programmed.

The actual content is derived from a technique of Arny Krueger. He showed a
theoretical model by which an individual could actually be disenfranchised
from usenet, by claiming that only those who used his "ABX" contraption were
entitled to offer their observations.

Mikey has an extremely weak mind; otherwise, he would have fled the
conditioning chamber long ago.

The reason I'm not replying to Mike is that Mike doesn't tell others
they don't belong on usenet because of their presumed low
intelligence.

I was trying to be polite!

I don't thing the Bug Eater deserves politeness. I find his persistent stupidity
to be annoying and tiresome. His Kroopologism is wrongheaded, obnoxious, and
immoral. His political views are dangerous, or they would be if anybody took him
seriously. He contributes nothing of value to this group, and in fact he demeans
it even further than if we just had Krooger and a few lesser 'borgs.

Well, I've said this before, and I'll say it again:
I have had a good e-mail contact with Mike, and I know a little bit
more about the person behind the posts.
I could easily say the same about *you*, George :-)

George we will never if in fact you are as intelligent as
you pretend to be. Seems to RAO readers that intelligence is
the only thing that you can arrogate and that you are
pathetically trying to sell it just like a starlet tries to
sell her ass at a casting.

I admit that stupidity annoys me. I don't mind class-based snobbery; I can
easily ignore that. Another thing that irritates me is otherwise rational people
enabling and apologizing for toxic personalities, especially in the case of
individuals who refuse to heed plain expositions of logic.

BTW, the notion of pretending to be intelligent is quite idiotic. I'd say it's
so supernally stupid that it's worthy of Mikey Bug Eater.

I believe it's supposed to be insulting. Robert originally cast this
series of insults as a retaliation for Mickey's gratuitous digging about
Robert's lost lawsuit. Do you think one kind of mean-spiritedness is worse
than the other?

True. In fact many have done just that. :-) But rare is the post that
attacks attacks on me, because everybody can see I invite them. It's my
view that Mickey invites such attacks as Robert has given, and also as I
have given. Do you disagree?

Well, cats are of course an exception to any generalization about "dumb
animals". :-)

In America, the debate about affirmative action led to a divide in the
black community. Some activitists condemned welfare and similar programs
for obviating the urgency for society's less privileged members to take
responsibility for their own well-being. They labeled this type of
indulgence infantilization of black men. Seems to me that by going to this
length to protect Mickey from the results of his ineptitude, you and
Scottie are doing something similar.

I must admit to not reading every RAO post anymore, especially when
they're . 200 lines long.
So, my copout is that I haven't seen Mike writing about that.
I *have * seen Arny doing that, however. Does that count? :-)

But really, it is true that mean-spirited posting generates likewise
responses.
However, I thought better of Robert than what he is doing now.

And to be brutally honest, I thought better of Mike as well.
He shouldn't respond to such trolling.

And mean-spiritedness comes in gradations, I think.

I don't disagree, but I don't agree either.
I just try to look at things from a distance, and some things I see
are "not a pretty sight" ©.

Let's say that each and every person has to live with how he acts and
what he writes.

Probably.
I wouldn't call it "trying to protect Mike", however.
I think he's capable enough to defend himself.

I just raise my voice when I don't agree with what is said.
Sometimes I agree with Scott, sometimes with you, sometimes with
Lionel and many others.
And perhaps in even more cases, I just shake my head and say nothing.

I have the same problem with politics, we have many parties here in
Holland, and I agree with most of them about some issues.
What did they call that again? The lesser of two evils? :-)

Agreed, my problem isn't with Morein relentlessly going
after him... although I find it tedious.

It's when he states he is in position to judge intellect and
establish criteria for posting here. I know he's FOS,
but that whole premise just sucks.

BTW... the intellectual level on RAO isn't all that and the
number of participants continues to dwindle.

Logic ? I see, a least, 3 contradictions in the about paragraph.
BTW logic isn't applicable to human life, only a Krooborg
would try such stupid experience.

NB : now you can amend the above quote, finally I know a
"Krooborg".

Sure. If Mickey says something, it's a certainty Arnii already said it at
least three times before. So if you see Arnii saying it, odds are Mickey
will ape him in the future. :-)

I know what you mean. I advise people not to engage the Bug Eater, and not
just because of the stupidity thing. Mickey also tries to emulate Arnii's
"debating trade" shtick insofar as never admitting error. It's nearly
impossible to have a discussion with him and not get sucked into the
hair-splitting and doubletalk.

> And to be brutally honest, I thought better of Mike as well.
> He shouldn't respond to such trolling.

You're overestimating him. He's not bright enough to distinguish trolling
from sincerity. Case in point -- look at his political views.

> And mean-spiritedness comes in gradations, I think.

Oh, definitely. I agree that Mickey seems generally enraged rather than
hostil, but his inability to understand how others perceive him inteferes
with his ability to mollify his demeanor.

This isn't about Mike, it's about *you*.

And as far as Mike is concerned, I know he's suffering from severe
pains.
I happen to live with someone who's in severe pain herself, so I know
how that can affect one's life, let alone one's writing skills.

Are we supposed to treat Mike differently because he has pain?
Bob's treatment of Mike is not very different from most of what
goes on here.

I didn't see you raise an objection when torresists posted my

That's up to you.
It could be an explanation for the typos he makes, however.
To blame someone's IQ for that, is simply absurd, and it says more
about the one making the accusation then it does about the subject.

Probably not, but so far, I haven't seen others making calls to leave
this group because of "not belonging among his betters".
Not even Arny got that treatment (as far as I know).

I don't condone that either.
However, we all have our history on RAO, but so far, I haven't seen
Bob Morein doing things like that.
And it's not like some contest of who gets to be the nastiest among
RAO regulars.

If you think so, you might have a problem :-)

I don't always comment on bad behaviour, as I said earlier.
In your case, I probably shook my head and went on.
In fact, I can't even remember seeing such a post.

BTW how did Tor get that number, anyway?

That isn't what Robert says... literally.

But accepting that he isn't...how many people have left RAO because of
Roberts kind of BS? This place is pathetically void of participants
compared to five years ago and it was pretty pathetic back then.

This is exactly what happens when leaving this kind of ridicule game
mentality unchecked. Sooner or later only the players remain and they
don't really have anything interesting to say to each other.

The alternative in dealing with duh-Mikey is just to ignore him. Robert usually
does that, but in this case, Mickey picked a fight, and now Robert is hitting
back.

The notion that Robert's taunting differs in kind from others on RAO is
mistaken.

He knows who I am. He did a Google search.

A couple years ago, he posted a forgery from my wife asking
people to call her. People did. Can you imagine? This says

Arnii Kroopimp got some nice returns after he told us about his poor
wife's back-alley activities.

I don't condone anyone going real world unless invited.

Don't be asking me. I don't actually know how much George has
gone "real world". Not as much as he would have us think, I suspect.

All this should stay here. It should be mano a mano.

Just because the degrees are different doesn't negate the argument.

A couple years ago, you said you get offended by dirty language. What happened
to change you from a prig into a filthpot?

>You are as always, a pig.

Is that your worst shot? The way you wallow in filth, you seem like a drunken
dung beetle.

I do respect your public admission that your command of grammar is inferior to a
dull-witted 13-year-old's. The first step in solving a problem is admitting its
scope.
