We could all go and party out at aus.hi-fi and help relieve their chronic
constipation. :-)
How about kicking off the party with a post like "Aussies suck kangaroo
balls when it comes to high-end audio" to get everyone in the mood? Of
course the high-end part is completely gratuitous but they won't notice it.
Cheers,
Margaret
Ps. I'm just kidding...I think, I am....am I???

We would have to get export certification for hazardous materials.
The Chinese, who already get poisoned bashing our computer monitors, might
be more receptive.

In Szuechuan and Hunan, which are poor, inland provinces of China, villagers
have cottage industries busting up computer scrap. The stuff is toxic; a
computer monitor contains, on the average, six pounds of lead. The West
blames itself for failing to control export of toxic materials to 3rd World
nations. Some of this may have changed a bit for the better since I read
about it, but apparently, the Chinese are still hungry for all the toxic
scrap they can get their hands on. Back in the Mao days, smokestack
pollution was considered a promising sign of prosperity.

See my reply to Margaret.
As for the choice of content, it's in the category of self-deprecating
humor.

Since I've read elsewhere that we get their organs if they fail to serve the
state, I wonder who gets the last laugh...

Be careful, Margaret. After the last episode aus.hi-fi regularly
assigns someone to keep watch over RAO and make sure no invasion plans
are being hatched. Right now I'm it, and I intend to report this
thread. You can expect a visit from someone with an Aussie accent very
soon, and then you're going to be very, very sorry. Kangaroo balls
indeed! :-)
