View Full Version : my mental image of Margaret
Robert Morein
July 27th 05, 12:50 AM
There are some theories that Margaret is a female impersonator, but I am
inclined to discount this. The personality she projects has been too
consistent, for too many years, for this to be likely. This leaves many
other possibilities, the most likely of which is that she is simply an
atypical female. We must remember that there are many examples of women with
powerful personalities, and some women have adventurous lives that would be
the envy of men. We need look only at the commander of the currently
orbiting space shuttle.
My mental image of Margaret is thus:
1. She grew up in a household that encouraged ambition, work ethic, and self
reliance.
2. She was a tomboy, and probably an only child. Her father brought her into
his world, an intensely competitive one, and taught her how to play the
game.
3. She is comfortable with her appearance, which is probably more handsome
than beautiful. She probably wears glasses, and doesn't bother with
contacts. She is a brunette, about 5'10".
4. She comes from money and wants more of it.
5. As dependency is alien to her, the need that causes most women to seek a
mate, at the cost of a career, is mostly absent.
6. The biology of Margaret's brain contains many elements of masculinity, as
evidenced by her interest in high velocity amusements, and audio. This does
not mean she isn't a normally functioning female.
I know similar women in person. One diminutive woman rises at 4 a.m. to
clean the stable and ride her horse. While her mate is completely sedentary,
she became an accomplished scuba diver, descending to 110 feet. She is a
working physician, with several children.

Not that Marges sex matters or I even care... but I would point out that
I don't know any women who would state the outcome of an
exchange as equivalent to being publicly ****ed in the ass until it bled...
or something like that.
I just don't see a women ever being so crude.

Of course you don't. You'd chain up such a woman with a chastity belt.

I doubt Eileen Collins has a vocabulary or a total lack of decorum as
does "Margaret". Females who succeed in traditionally make professions
invariably make their femaleness work for them instead of against them
and Margaret's attitude just isn't indicative of that.
If Margaret really is a biological female she is a miserable, failed
one, more Madalyn Murray-foulmouthed, annoying, abrasive, ultimately
not successful-than anything else. My bet, however, is that 'she' is an
aspiring pre-op transsexual, probably sporting both sizable estrogen
pill fueled breasts (but, alas, with male nipples) and an outsize and
all too functional penis enlarged by hormones, which makes both for an
impressive pro-shemale display and a lot of material for a good
gender-reassignment surgeon to turn into a pseudovagina.
Sitting around arguing about audio equipment just isn't what women in
our, or presumably any, culture do!

Where were you when "Annika 1980" was uncovered as a middle-aged
fat-belly'd bald golf player?
Why are you people so obsessed by people's gender and how they should
behave?
Are we a little bit insecure, perhaps? ;-)
> Sitting around arguing about audio equipment just isn't what women in

What culture might that be? The "women belong in the kitchen" culture?
I know of several women in my surroundings who have a love for music
*and* audio gear. One of them is also a hell of a car mechanic
(actually, a car electronics expert).
Luckily for you, they don't post to RAO.
They'd make mince meat of people like you in a (any) discussion.

Perhaps, females in general are superior to males, because arguing
about people arguing about stereo equipment is generally
incomprehensible to them.
I know female car and aircraft mechanics. They are very competent,
they do good work. I'm sure they know more about the stuff they work on
daily than I do. But it's just a job: they don't build hot rods or
biplanes in their garage when they go home. A woman buys a stereo, it's
to listen to music. A man buys really expensive stereo equipment, or
God forbid builds one from scratch, it's an obsession: it has to be
"better" than the other guy's.
Women cook, and so do men. Men who cook, compete. Their chili is the
hottest, both eating it and the next day...I can't imagine women
bragging about making a chili that makes their ass burn so bad they
have to shower immediately after pooping, a proud boast of one of my
male co-workers who "wears the chef's toque" in his family.
Men and women are different. I'm glad they are.

We're already infested with cyborgs posing as humans. It's not bizarre to
wonder if some other masquerades are going on.

If women talked about audio, you know perfectly well it would be in the
context of decor and ease of use, not performance.

Women mature faster than men. As a group, we're stuck in our early 20s.

They might talk about sound quality as well, but even if they did
they'd simply buy the best sounding they could, and move on. And it
would have to fit the decor and be easy to use..which when you think of
it, makes sense.

Aside from Red Hot Chili Pooper, we've got a BASE jumper, a guy who
put a Northstar engine in a Alfa Romeo and rides a "suicide clutch"
Indian, and another guy who's on medical leave because he rode a Yamaha
motorcycle through a wall and broke 16 bones. And the former
department manager, who burnt his house halfway down with a homemade
squirrel zapper made from a neon sign xfmr he put in the attic. Girls
don't do this kind of stuff, it's as simple as that.

Thanks for the kind words.
No one really takes Mikey too seriously around here.
He's generally considered the Rodney Dangerfield of rao ... and not in an
intentionally humorous sort of way. Heck, even Lionel gets more respect.
