Hello,

I have a first generation CD player from 1983, a Philips with the Magnavox
name on it. The model is FD 1000SL. In Europe I think this was the Philips
CD100.

Well, it hasn't run in years. Does anybody know if you can still get parts
for this anymore?

The funny toploader with the LED-bar display?
You might be lucky to find anything for that player.

Sometimes you can find a CDM-1 mechanism on E-bay or local hamfests,
but don't count on it. It will be expensive as well.

The TDA1540 DAC is obsolete as well, but some dealers still carry it.
At high prices, I might add.
