Arny's definitely the focal point of this group for both his detractors
and supporters.
On a different note, I read in the NYT today that the FBI have
collected, over the past several years, thousands of pages of documents
on anti-war protesters and organizations like Greenpeace and the ACLU.
It's heartwarming to learn that the nation's domestic intelligence
agency is keeping tabs on aging hippies, while Muslim extremists and
aossciated lunatics are running around scot free.

Speaking of the latter, where are Lionella, Thing, and Styncho? Perhaps the
stench is too strong even for them.

What can one expect from a government whose Presidential Chief of Staff puts
politics ahead of national security?

This one I can understand as these guys have been willing to violate
laws.
> and the ACLU.
This one needs explanation... although legally is there really any
reason
required for compiling a file on an organization? As long as the
materials are acquired within the law?
For example... I hope the FBI is compiling a file on every Masque or
Madrassa in the country and making a determination if it has militant
potential and not just waiting for laws to be broken.

Your spelling stinks. Arny IS, HAS always been and WILL always be the
F*E*CAL point of this group. And seemingly all the other groups he
participates in. It is his special talent that makes him unique. :-)

Yes, the only safe form of protest left is bombing of abortion clinics and
soon, I'm sure, stem cell researchers. I wish W had just stayed on nose
candy.

Careful. The FBI might be eavesdropping here.

Thanks to aging hippies belonging to organizations like the ACLU.

Margaret is angling to be appointed headmistress of the FVOCB, which
is far more disturbing than anything Arny has done to date. Arny is
merely amusing. Margaret is offensive, verbally and olfactorily.

As usual you always include at least one outright lie in you posts.

Actually, the job of a chief of staff IS to put politics first.
The Nixon, Clinton, Carter and G. W. Bush administrations
showed this, so, there are examples from both parties.

Sacky, your moral compass may have been skewed by years of denaturing logic to
excuse the moral turpitude of your beloved conservatives destructors of society,
but legal is still legal and illegal is still illegal.

The hell it is.
You're not confusing counseling the Prez with committing a felony, are you?

You're full of it. Anybody who does something comparable to what Rove did risks
prosecution. In case you haven't noticed, the legal lynch mob is inches from
Rove's door.

so much for the liberals' respect for the rule of law.

Well said. I think it's about time that the liberals join their fellow
conservatives. After all, ethics, virtue and morality can take you only
so far.

The Liberal lynch mob. The fact is Rove committed no crime. Plame was
not a covert agent, and her life was not put in danger because of
anything Rove said. This is just sour grapes for losing yet another
election.

Wow! What logic.
Tomorrow if I run a red light at 5am and a cop gives me a ticket,. I can
tell him that he shouldn't because I looked around the intersection and
saw that it was empty so no one's life woud have been "put in danger".
Of course, the small fact that I broke the law is probably irrelevant,
right?
I take it you're not a lawyer, McKelvy.
Let me spell it out for you: If indeed Rove did spill the beans on
Plame, he broke the Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982.
So it doesn't matter if she was a janitor at the CIA, breaking the law
is breaking the law. Oh, unless they're Republican of course, in which
case you'll be more than willing to excuse them.
Yet more rightist obfuscation from you. GMAB.

As I understand the law from the explanations I've heard, Rove did not break
it. The special prosecutor has said that Rove is not the subject of his
investigation.
There is clearly an attempt by the Democrats to spank Rove or anybody else
they can get their hands on for the flimisiest of reasons, if they have in
any way helped GWB.
The Dems have been getting their asses handed to them for so long now they
are gettting more and more desparate to try anything they can think of to
gain some traction. They are failing. They still seem to think that if
they try hard enough they can overturn the election. They act as though
Bush is up for election rather than someone in his final term.
