Suggetions?: Wireless speakers with multiple sources

I would like to buy a couple of wireless speakers for my room. Now I
would like to be able to send the audio from my laptop AND tv (maybe my
old stereo too but I dont use that much) to these speakers (merging the
sound rather than having to switch between one or the other if
possible). Rechargeable battery power would be a plus as the AC cables
would defeat the effect Im going for here :)

What are the options? I cant find anything myself as Im new to this
subject.

Simpler to do a single source that can be remotely told to switch
sources. Everything feeds into my home entertainment system, and I
bought IR repeaters that allow me to control it from my study. The PC
operating as an audio jukebox can't be controlled by IR, but it's on a
wireless network and can be controlled through that.

I doubt you can mix the signals at the receiver, since demodulation is
nonlinear.

I would have thought it would be very possible at the transmitter though
.... a transmitter with multiple inputs. Im looking for a remote switcher
now as Joe suggested, and Im very surprised that they dont seem to come
with this option (least not the cheap ones).

The fidelity on most wireless speakers sucks. The sound is just lame.

Battery life and pushing speakers are mutually exclusive. You're not going
to crank much out of speakers without draining batteries pretty quickly.

Feed them all into a single input and only have one turned on at a time.
That could work. But be careful you don't overload the input. I'm not sure
I'd want to do this as it'd be a pain to remember what's on or off and to
properly manage them.

Not many. When you get into sophisticated multi-source, multi-room
situations it usually demands at least "good" quality sound, if not
high-quality. That's just not something the wireless systems provide so
it's no suprise to see nothing available.

From a different angle you could consider using FM transmitters. Push your
audio outputs onto a unused FM station and listen to them from regular
radios. The fidelity would probably be better than more wireless speakers
too. Or push the audio inputs into an RF modulator on some unused TV
stations and listen to them televisions in the house.
