Best legal site for mp3 downloads?

What is the best legal site for a fee that provides mp3 music downloads on a
file shareing basis? By that I mean the best selection of songs and best
software for managing downloads and preventing duplicates and corrupt files
and such?

Any tips appreciated

The best that I've found is www.tonspion.de, a German site that
directs you to various free mp3s.

One of the big ones that they rely upon is www.download.com and the
other really big one is www.epitonic.com. But they also pick out mp3s
on artists' sites and other legal sources, like record company sites.

There are THOUSANDS of free and legal mp3s out there, and many of them
are from known acts AND/OR great lesser-known bands. You still have to
sift through the mass of stuff out there.

I recommend you look at: ALLOFMP3.com. ( in Russia). It is not file a
sharing site, but the price of music files is very low.
