View Full Version : Attention gay audiophiles

June 1st 05, 12:57 AM
I'm a young audiophile who also happens to be gay. I'd like to make
friends with likeminded people and chat on this board with people who
do not find this a bad thing. I know there's lots of flaming going on
here but its not the right kind! My first big project is to buy a new
system with speakers, receiver and a CD player and my budget is $500.
What do you recommend? They also have to look nice. Don't be shy, I
want to get to know you. littleboyblue

It's not enough, boy.
In the audiophile world with $500 only you cannot even purchase the wire to
hang you.
You'd better chose macrame it's a cheaper hobby. ;-)

Middiot's nose is obviously not trained to detect your stench, McKelvy.

Why are you trying to stir it up, dot-head? In fact, I did detect the Bug
Eater's "stench" when he first donned this disguise.

Gandhi was overrated. Your country's economy is smaller than New Jersey's. All
your people can do is steal Americans' jobs because you all live in mud huts and
eat dirt.

Gay Audiophiles? Hmmm...

QUESTION:
What would characterise a Gay Audiophile?

1. Listening to music on homophones?

2. Connections:

2a. Hetero-phile = 1 x PLUG plus 1 x SOCKET?
2b. Homo-phile = 1 x PLUG plus 1 x PLUG?
2c. Lesbo-phile = 1 x SOCKET plus 1 x SOCKET?

3. Preferred high-end brands:

3a. P-Ass Labs?
3b. Conrad's Johnson?

4. Speakers with rear-firing ports?

5. Digital... ??

Sorry about the above - got into a whimsical, "what-the-hell" mood...

Breed rabbits? I believe wife-murder was outlawed by the British some 300
years ago.

The not-so-occasional wife-burning still makes the headlines. I think there
were about 40 incidents in 2004.

hah! All I have to do is go business class and I get a nice large bottle,
for free!
Its good for in between all the free wine.
BTW, just this Tuesday, May 31, Air France gave me the free upgrade on my
return..
Third free upgrade in my last three Air France flights.
Alas, Delta, on the outbound, did not give me the upgrade.
CDG still sucks, but vive la Air France.

ALL expenses.
That would include a plane trip from St. de Exupery to Schiphol, a
taxi to the Red Light District, everything a man would do when in
Amsterdam, and the return trip.

Beats listening to Barry Manilow though.

As far as Star Wars goes, I am guilty as charged. Unlike some, I can
appreciate the parallels between the movie, the contemporary
geopolitical structure of the planet and the goings-on right here in RAO.

The cast of characters (as I see it):

1. Middius - Darth Vader. He thinks of himself as the dark overlord, but
is completely oblivious to the fact that he is impotent, painfully
humourless and devoid of both purpose and personality.

2. Arny Krueger - A droid. His behavior is due to a faulty infinite
'For' loop in his firmware, which causes him to incessantly repeat himself.

3. Robert Morein - Luke Skywalker. He occassionally, and I might add
unsuccessfully, attempts to bring balance to the RAO Force by being a
very vocal proponent of the Hafler Transnova.

4. Mike McKelvy - The Emperor. Unlike Vader, who is at best annoying,
the emperor believes that democracy should die with thunderous applause,
and though he considers himself educated and well informed, his ideas
are as vacuous as space itself. The space between his ears, that is.

Others:

5. Lionel - Princess Leia. The resemblance is fairly striking, don't you
think?

6. Boon - Chewbacca. This was assigned on the basis of girth alone. Does
anyone object?

7. Mag von B - Jar Jar Binks. This character is completely irrelevant,
but you really wish that he were dead. ;-)

8. Joseph Oberlander - Obi-Wan Kenobi. 'Nuff said.
