Ok, it looks like I'm going to go this route and I'm looking for some
opinions....
I'm thinking about replacing the stock HU in a '04 Silverado 6 speaker
system (not the Bose), with an Alpine 9831 and also adding an Infinity
Basslink system as first steps.
Looking a little later (6-9 months), I was thinking of adding new
speakers all the way around along with a four channel amp.
Is this a good way to go and good components to work with right now?
I'm wanting just a little more ommph out of my system, not necessarily
one I can hear four blocks away and waking the neighbors.
Also, I live in a smaller sized city, so Circuit City is the only
authorized Alpine dealer here, are they decent to work with and trust
on installing this system or should I go somewhere else?
Thanks for the input!
P.S. For background info, I want to give up as little space as
possible (hence the Basslink) and want to stay around $750 for this
first round of upgrades.
I also really like the Clarion ProAudio DXZ745MP unit, probably a
little better than the Alpine but unfortunately, there is no planned
iPod interface.
