Just picked up a set of used non-paper speakers, and one of the dust caps
has fallen off. What's the best way to reattach it? Rubber cement? Silicone?
MIG welder? (j/k) I seem to recall using generic rubber cement "back in the
day," but it's been a few years and maybe there's a better adhesive, like
silicone.
TIA,
Jeff

lol, it 'fell' off???
Was this proceeded by an extreme load of current? A screwdriver slip? Looked
at it the wrong way?

The glue deteriorates and will no longer stick to the poly because it had no
fibers to imbed to. See it all the time.
Black bostik is the no comey off sure fire method for reattachment. In home
speakers white glue is king but won't like the humidity in cars. Silicone
is heavy so be careful on the amount, don't lower your FS :)
I'd try white glue first. If it doesn't work it's water soluble and you can
wash it off to try something stronger.
