And I don't mean metaphorically. Is the guy actually, clinically, really
barmy?

The definition of insanity has become increasingly inclusive, as psychiatry
has absorbed a general tolerance toward behavior that does not damage the
self or others. In the case of McCarty, he damages himself with rote,
repetitive activity directed against imaginary enemies.
Does he damage others? The majority of us, who are passionate about audio,
probably think that he at least tries to damage others.
Obsessive-compulsive syndrome takes many forms. It can be as harmless as
stepping on the cracks of a sidewalk, or consist of time-consuming rituals
that crowd out normal life.
We do know that McCarty's obsession has cost him the chance of success in
two ventures: http://www.worldjazz.com, and http://www.coralseastudios.com.
McCarty was warned that this would happen if he did not stop his harassment.
But, apparently, it is not within his will power to change his behavior.
Part of him is a robot, that cannot stop for any reason.
Nevertheless, obsessive-compulsive disorder is considered to be a disorder
of just part of the psyche. By itself, it doesn't imply disintegration of
the self. That is left to psychosis. The clue that he might actually have a
psychosis is his inability to post as himself. He is addicted to multiple
sockpuppets, as if the real "Brian L. McCarty" were someone else. IOW, Brian
is dissociated from the Brian who posts the nasty stuff, sends viruses,
impersonates other people, and so forth.

Judging by the record of his Usenet behavior, "George" is psychotic, no
question.

Let's not confuse verbal posturing and what some may consider offensive
behavior with a genuine desire to hurt people and deprive them of their
livelyhoods.
Several years ago, McCarty, for a period of over a month, called up an
elderly neighbor of mine at 2 a.m. in the morning. She ended up in a
hospital.
Please don't make a joke out of this man. IMHO, he is pure evil.

We know you adore Krooger, so why are you casting about for a new role
model? I'd say the only RAO regular who could improve your antisocial
tendencies is Bwian Mc****head.

I'm not joking Bob. I'm sure that if Middius wasn't such a
coward he would do that without any problem.
Just to see how much pleasure he takes to encourage RAO's
readers to harass Arnold Krueger even in his private life...
Remember the *public* pedophile campain ? Middius and
Phillips inane accusations ?
The question is what do you prefer Bob ? A guy who mock your
failing in a lawsuit against your university or a guy who
accuse you to be a pedophile in the police dpt ?
George M. Middius is insane, perhaps more sexy and charming
that McCarty but insane anyway.
