View Full Version : Car Amplifier Malfunction - Volume increases on its own

Hi, I've had this car amp for ages and before I chuck it in the bin I
thought I'd check to see if anyone knows what the problem is and if
its fixable. Its a Jetsound JS 5030 400 Watt amp, its about 9 years
old now. The problem is when I turn it on the amp just increases the
volume of the sub(or subs) all on its own, so I have to turn off the
head unit before the Sub gets blown.
Any ideas anyone?
Cheers!

The problem is in the head unit. Power amplifiers have fixed gain.

What planet are you from? Most amplifiers have variable gains.
