I have a Sony cdx mp30 car stereo. The stereo is great but on a bass
level, it just doesnt sound that great because the speakers I have are
not really top of the line. 2 6x9 xplodes and 2 6" round kenwoods.
What I would like to do is to get a self powered subwoofer, so I dont
have to mess with amps and all that extra stuff and take the strain
off the speakers. Just something cheap since the stereo is probably
worth more than the vehicle.
I believe the cdx mp30 has an output for a woofer, but Im not too
technical and cant understand Sonys directions. The pdf is here if
needed: http://www.xmradio.com/manuals/cdx_mp30_install.pdf
I've seen so called powered subwoofers range from 35$ to ridiculous.
By the details of what Ive been looking at, they never really specify
if self powered or needs an amp. Are there any reccomendations for
cheap powered sub.
Or would it be more cost effective to get a cheap amp and subwoofer?
