Have you heard of the ESP1010 audio interface? made by ESI. Its a rack mount
24/96 looks similar in function to Layla3G with 2 mic pre's and 6
balannced TRS inputs, 8 audio outputs, PCI interface.

Any insight into this one?

Why avoid the better-known Layla3G?

Why avoid the well-known Delta 1010 + a mic preamp?

its 239. add $40 for octopus cable and say $50 for a used patch panel. Its
could be cheaper buy the ESP1010 for $317 new with warranty and free
shipping. It has 2 headphone outputs and some other thing the Maudio doesnt
like rack mount.

Why add an octipus cable when it comes with one?

Why add a patch panel if none is needed?

UHHHH....DWEEBOID....it has like 6inch cables on the back....
an 8 rca to trs is $40. that brings it to a front patch panel
you know....like the grown ups use.

Please dont respond any longer. Im hoping for someone with input who is a
lot more sophisticated and who knows what they are talking about

So you think that to be grown up, an audio interface has to have a
patch panel? LOL!

I have a 1010 and a Delta 66 that have patch panels, a 1010LT that
doesn't, and oh by the way I own a LynxTWO that is most definately a
grown-up audio interface, and oh by the way it lacks a patch panel,
just like the LynxONE that came before it.

You know what difference patch panels make in the larger view?

Nada.
