A few hints here :

Normaly it describes Lp to hard disk recording, but there is not
much differences if you want to record cassettes. A chapter
talks about it.
You will also there find many links to web pages talking and
describing about the same sort of things. And also links
to software ( some free, some expensive)

You need a cassette deck to play the tape, a computer with a CDR burner and
a sound card, and some software. I assume you already have the first 2, so
I'll talk about the software.
I make a digital recording of the entire cassette using WaveRepair, a piece
of software that is free if you only use it to record. I then load the
recording into CDWave, which you have to pay $25 for, but simplifies
breaking the recording into tracks. You then burn a CD of those tracks
using whatever software came with your burner. C'est tout.

CDwave is an infamous trojan.I dloaded it (and I didn't pay) and then my
hard drive needed formatting, which cost 58 euro.I personally use a stereo
jack to RCA cable, cost 1 euro and some software that came with my computer
(actually most computers sold in Greece come with it), AV rack. You connect
the rec out of the tape deck to the line in of your computer, you make a
little experimentation with the volume, voila!
