Need help people.
Looking for a dvd player with built in amplifier for my paradigm atoms.
50w @ 8 ohms. Price: $150 to $200.
Or does anyone know receivers that are small/slim for the same wattage.
What i saw in the store was a monstrous Onkyo/Harman Kardon/Denon/...
:(
Thank you.

The "dreambox" for your application would be a NAD L53.
Receiver, CD, DVD, Amp, Remote control, 2X0W, +++++
But would unfortunately cost a bit much (600$ ?)

I assume you have a pair of speakers and all you need is stereo. Some
of the receivers/DVD players you'll find below will be 5.1 models, but
I think most or all of the models will also work in stereo mode.

How about the following?:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4787&item=5767687838
Also search eBay for the following. If you don't see anything that
looks good to you now, try searching every week or so:
dvd receiver
onkyo dvd receiver
denon dvd receiver
sony dvd receiver
pioneer dvd receiver
toshiba dvd receiver
teac dvd receiver
nad dvd receiver
jvc dvd ex
jvc dvd rx-dv*
All of the above brands have offered home combination DVD
players/receivers.
JVC has a series of DVD receivers, like the RX-DV3, RX-DV31, and
RX-DV5. The above search will lead you to those receivers. I often see
those on eBay for $100-$200, although at this moment all I see are new
units at higher prices. Try searching eBay every week or so. Here's an
example of the JVC models:

The Teac Reference series, but those components are out of your price
range. In the UK, NAD offers some small, slim components.
Panasonic, JVC, and Teac (and probably other popular Japanese brands)
also sell some stereo minisystems with DVD players. You could buy a
system like that, then use your Paradigm speakers instead.

Check out http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=169925 . Just replace
the speakers it comes with with your Atoms.
