I saw an advert for some surround sound Wharfedale speakers which
consist of:
120watt Wharfedale shelf speakers
100watt Wharfedale evolution center speaker
200watt Wharfedale floor speakers
150watt Wharfedale powered subwoofer
Are these speakers of good quality or are they low budget type
speakers?
What country makes Wharfedale speakers?

I have a set of Diamond Sevens. Took them apart to replace the tweeters,
which, unfortunately were rendered fragile by the simple (1st order?)
crossover. They were stamped as made in UK.
I wonder if the successors still have drivers made in the UK ?

Thanks for the links Rui.
I'm hoping to get comments from on these speakers as the wharfedale
site will only tell me the good things about these speakers.
It's good that I get a "yes" to my first question.

If you can find an issue of the British magazine "What HiFi?," any
issue should have brief reviews of many Wharfedale models. Just look at
all the brief reviews in the back of the magazine.
I'm in the US and can find it at larger newsstands and big book stores
like Barnes & Noble and Borders. I haven't looked at the magazine
lately, so I can't give you any comments.
There's also a web site, but I don't see reviews there:
www.whathifi.com
And you might want to try:
http://www.wharfedale.co.uk/home.php
http://www.avguide.com/AVG_monthly/index.jsp
Also search the above web site. And use Google.com or other search
engines to search the web and newsgroups.
CompUSA stores carry some Wharfedale models.
