is there anything in this world to boost the reception of radio?
a lot said no, only way is to make your antenna is taller than the bus.
while some said try that Bosch round thingy.

Are you interested in boosting AM or FM reception? There are signal
boosters out there for FM radio - I don't know about AM radio.

The quality of the boosters out there varies a lot. I'd go with
something made by Bosch or Terk if you can find one.

What kind of vehicle it it going into and what kind of antenna is on there
now?

I never had any luck with FM boosters. they can only amplify what the
antenna picks up, so if it;s picking up static then it will amplify static.
even on better signals they seem to overdrive the the tuner and make the FM
distorted. This was about 17 years ago and it was a Harada booster, so I
don't know if they have gotten any better.

That would work too. I don't know anything about that particular
brand, but that's what you're looking for - an AM/FM signal booster
for car use.

I've never had luck with amplified antennas but if your deck has a
mono/stereo switch try mono for the weaker stations.

Where do you like, to need to boost FM?

Add a powered booster to your antenna, that should do it.

should have a rough idea of what I should get.

A lot of it depends on the head units ability to pick up these
stations. Its not just getting a bigger and better antenna.

IMO OEM head units are about the same as aftermarket when it comes to
FM, but are much better with AM reception.
