I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab. Thinking of the following stereo,
but need to ask a couple questions.
AMP: SoundStream Xstream XTA480.4 (4CH x 60W RMS)
Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P7700MP (2005 Model)
Speakers: Front- Infinity Kappa 63.5i 61/2 in 3 Way
Rear- Infinity Kappa 52.5I 5 1/4 in 2 Way
No sub (yet)
Is SoundStream a good Amp and value?
Is an Amp going to improve the sound quality on a system like this, or is
the Pioneer internal Amp good enough to run the system well?
Is it a bad idea to mix 2 way and 3 way speakers?
Since the Amp is 4 channel, if I decide to add a 10 in sub at a later date,
can I run the fronts off 2 of the channels, the sub off 2 channels (bridged)
and the rears from the head unit internal amp?
I will be ordering all componets online (the store prices in Alaska are
outrageous compared to online prices) and need to get it right the first
time.
Any suggestions appreciated.
