I have no experience with Arc Audio, but Zapco is considered to be
absolutely state-of-the-art. I have an older entry level model (AG200) and
am extremely pleased with it. The Competition series are second to none.

I had heard that some of the original founders/engieers has left zapco and
formed arc audio. hence, one of the reasons for my question. of course
visiting their individual web sites does provide 'some' info, but it is
heavily weighted towards their individual products ( but that is to be
expected)
so what i am looking for is maybe an article published in some of the car
udio rags that might have some comparison data.

Well, if the people involved with Arc came from a Zapco heritage, I would
suggest that this discussion is merely academic. I tend to buck the trend,
and would be tempted to try the Arc equipment and see what it is like.
