I'm looking into getting one Alpine SWS-1222D which is a 12" dual 2-ohm sub
rated 50-300watts RMS (150w/coil), 900w max. Which amp would be best for
this?
Kenwood KAC-7201: 150w rms x2 @4ohms, 230w x2 @2ohms, 460w x1 bridged
@4ohms.
Sony XM-D500X : 250w x1 @4ohms, 500 x1 @2ohms
Alpine MRP-M350 : 200w x1 @4ohms, 350w x1 @2ohms.
All retail ~$200 in Crutchfield. I know there are other subs/amps which
would be better suited but I just need to fill in the low-end with good
sound. Oh yeah, it's going into a '98 Tahoe with a Kenwood HU. I've listened
to a JL sub at Car Toys but for some reason it didn't sound as good as the
Alpine.
